taking responsibility

Just finished up a really long stretch of days at work that was complicated by pt's family who don't really want help.   They enjoy the "pity party" that they have made for themselves.   In the process, you make my job of getting your family well ( as well as tending to the other pt's that I have)  The Dr, case manager and nurses have all offered help and solutions.....all we here is how bad you have it, how hard your life is......That's a choice in your life that you have mad....I don't care.....I do care about where your family is going at discharge and who is going to take care of them......GROW UP !!!!!  Don't yell at me when I call and ask you come help keep your family from falling out of bed....we don't "tie them down"  for your convenience

  To think that I've signed up or an Extra......I hope I get a new team.......

I will enjoy rest of the day..........

ok, so I lied !!!!

Kinda.......I've been on a halfway stalk on eBay for a featherweight machine.   I'd bid on a Regular basis knowing good and well that my chances of winning was slim.....It was fun, gave me something to do.....My oldest sister cheered me on,  said I needed one esp if I decided to start going to classes....  Then in a conspiracy against me, My Father swings by the thrift/junk store,  calls all excited because she has 2 new sewing machines,  if I wanted to go check them out.  As a dutiful daughter, I go to look....imagine my surprise when the first one she pulls out is a Featherwieght !!! The other machine was a black 1956-1959 singer,  case and box had seen better days,  didn't even look look at it, the featherweight was plugged up, moter ran, machine was dirty, needed some work, something I could attempt to fix.....decided to think about it.      DS (dear sister) was called/faebooked for consultation.... Bonnie Hunter's MQ step 2

I'm All Done with step #2 !!!!!  Only had to take apart 6 .......Not too bad.   I used method 3.  It made more sense to me, esp with working night shift,  I didn't have to think too hard :)                            I got my fetherweight to working (Thanks to folks on Vintage Sewing Machines on Facebook )                    Steps 1 & 2 done AND ironed.. (the good fairies of ironing did not show up last night )                     see... still have the bonus one to iron.   Time to hit Netflix and race a movie
