ok, so I lied !!!!

Kinda.......I've been on a halfway stalk on eBay for a featherweight machine.   I'd bid on a Regular basis knowing good and well that my chances of winning was slim.....It was fun, gave me something to do.....My oldest sister cheered me on,  said I needed one esp if I decided to start going to classes....
Then in a conspiracy against me, My Father swings by the thrift/junk store,  calls all excited because she has 2 new sewing machines,  if I wanted to go check them out.  As a dutiful daughter, I go to look....imagine my surprise when the first one she pulls out is a Featherwieght !!! The other machine was a black 1956-1959 singer,  case and box had seen better days,  didn't even look look at it, the featherweight was plugged up, moter ran, machine was dirty, needed some work, something I could attempt to fix.....decided to think about it.
DS (dear sister) was called/faebooked for consultation.... She was appauled that I even wanted to think about it !!!!

So with as much fanfare that I can muster today,  Here is Jimmy Beth (named after dad and my sister).  She is a 1953 Singer Featherweight

This is the only "defect" on her....
The case needed some attention, but all in all is in good shape

She was dirty and took some time to clean up.  ( I hope that when I sell the machines,  no one opens them up and says yuck !!! I mean YUCK GROSS !!!!)  I even had to give in and go online and pull up the instruction manual to see how to Thread bobbin and the machine... (all my other vintage machines go left to right,  JB goes right to left).  Beyond that, she sews wonderful... I now understand the fascination....
   TTFN

ps, sorry about any bad spelling,  naturally spell check is not working when I need it.....
